The annual spotlight of athletes and clubs between performances and promotion

This year too, the Sports Festival which was held last Sunday between Piazza Garibaldi and Palazzo Paleologo was a notable success.
Throughout the afternoon, the athletes of the Trinese sports clubs and associations were the protagonists who proposed their disciplines with outdoor activities: dance schools, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, mountain biking, running , bowls, judo, even a Formula 1 simulator. There really was something for everyone.
DJ Blansh’s music enlivens the atmosphere. Testimonial of this edition is Luca Demarchi, from Trinia, driver of Team Best Lap and protagonist of the Italian GT Championship on a Ferrari 488. Demarchi took a break in his hometown, signing autographs and posing for photos and selfies, before his next commitment , from 15 to 17 September in Monza with the third Endurance round of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship. He was present with his Ferrari 488 GT3.
Other guests Giulia Perotti, representative of Libertas Ginnastica Vercelli and world junior artistic champion who spoke about the emotion of the gold medal won in Turkey in floor exercise; the driver Matteo Roccadelli who participates in the Italian sports prototype championship; Silvia Giraudi from Trieste, body building champion; Andrea Macrì, Paralympic athlete and Pietro Mazzei, federal wheelchair tennis instructor; the Rosa Blu association of Vercelli.
During the day there was also the presentation of the first team of LG Trino, fresh from the home success in their debut in the championship and the parade of the boys from the 2005 draft which could not take place during the patronal festival due to bad weather.
At the end, the mayor Daniele Pane and the sports councilor Elisabetta Borgia congratulated all the athletes present and their managers – handing out diplomas – who in the organizational phase made use of the precious collaboration of, among others, Erika Gennaro , head of the Sports and School sector of the Municipality of Trino, Elisa Siciliano and Claudio Zannotti, of Piero Gennaro, bowls champion and collaborator of the Municipality and of the boys of the Aoct led by the president Mattia Tricerri who has passed the baton in sight of Trino diVino 2023 which will be held in two weekends.
