The objective of the players was to make clear their support and solidarity “with the players who have seen their success tarnished” and also put the matter on the back burner to be able to focus on their international commitments.
The players’ statement received a response from Luis Rubiales through his twitter profile. In which posted a video titled ‘Green or Red Folder – Environmental Pressure’.
In the video, a teacher is seen showing a green folder to her students and tells them that if a student is late, she will ask them about the color of the folder and they would have to answer that it was red. This is what happens when a student arrives with the class already started. The teacher begins to ask all the students and they, following the established script, answer that it is red. Until the turn of the student who had arrived late arrives, when she also answers that the folder is red to the laughter in the room.
