The resumption of training this Monday after three days of rest provided some indications. Take it with a grain of salt for now.

In Aix-en-Provence

After three days of rest, the Blues returned to training this Monday late afternoon at the Georges Carcassonne stadium, in Aix-en-Provence. With several good news. Victim of knee pain a week ago, which forced him to withdraw from Namibia, Grégory Alldritt was back on the field. Affected against Namibia, prop Uini Atonio (knee) and winger Louis Bielle-Biarrey (shoulder) also took part.

Not Paul Boudehent on the other hand, who was content to watch the session from the sidelines. Victim of a concussion against Namibia, the La Rochelle third row must observe a compulsory rest period, with regular examinations. Having passed the HIA 3 test favorably, he was however able to resume the exercise bike this Monday and will move on to racing this Tuesday. Twelve days of rest being imposed by the regulations (from the KO, i.e. September 21), he will therefore be able to apply for the match against Italy, on October 6.

Julien Marchand, victim of a torn hamstring during the opening match against New Zealand on September 8, is on his way back. Although he did not participate in collective training, the Toulouse hooker was able to resume the race this Monday morning. He is expected on the ground during the week and “applies for the match against Italy“. A prospect which had been targeted by the staff when deciding to keep one of its executives in the group despite his unavailability.

Lucu in 9, Villière back in the starting XV?

During the fifteen minutes open to the press this Monday, the game of the chasubles gave some indications, however, to be taken with caution since there are twelve days before the last match of the group stage against Italy, on October 6 in Lyon. Maxime Lucu wore the starting number 9, the Bordeaux player therefore seems to be holding the rope to replace Antoine Dupont at kick-off. He was accompanied at the opening by his partner at UBB, Matthieu Jalibert. Behind, Gabin Villière had found the 11, Louis Bielle-Biarrey training with the supposed replacements.

Ahead, surprise in the second row where Bastien Chalureau had put on the blue chasuble n°5 and Macalou the n°6. Which gave the following first team composition: 1. Wardi, 2. Mauvaka, 3. Falatea – 4. Flament, 5. Chalureau – 6. Macalou, 7. Cros, 8. Alldritt – 9. Lucu, 10. Jalibert – 11. Villière, 12. Moefana, 13. Fickou, 14. Penaud – 15. Ramos. Awaiting confirmation in the coming days. In this configuration, it is Grégory Alldritt who would recover the captain’s armband.
