David Kalokoh has extended his contract with Ajax until mid-2027, the Amsterdam club officially announced on Tuesday. The only eighteen-year-old attacker had a contract in the capital until next summer. Furthermore, Ajax will also break open and extend Tristan Gooijer’s contract, as Johan Inan of Algemeen Dagblad reported earlier this Tuesday.

Kalokoh came over from the youth academy of VVV-Venlo in the summer of 2018 and is now a permanent fixture in the Amsterdam team, for which he has played seven matches so far this season in the Kitchen Champion Division. The Sierra Leone-born attacker scored once. In preparation for this season, Kalokoh scored a goal in the practice match against FC Den Bosch (2-2).

Kalokoh is normally not the only Ajax talent who opts for a new contract in Amsterdam. Inan knows that nineteen-year-old Gooijer is next. The talented defender’s contract also expires after this season, but that appears to be about to change soon. Gooijer has also played seven games for Jong Ajax this season.

In addition, Gabriël Misehouy also has an expiring contract, but his contract extension is one for the longer term, reports Inan. Misehouy would like to stay in Amsterdam, but the attacking midfielder previously indicated that he was dissatisfied with the prospects he was offered at the club. Misehouy is developing rapidly at Jong Ajax, where he has started the season excellently. In seven matches he scored three times and provided two assists.
