This week’s largest movement came from the New York Jets, who saw their odds lengthen from +1600 all the way to +6000 after Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury on the Jets’ opening drive. The loss of the four-time MVP saw immediate reverberations around the league, as his season came to an unfortunate end.

Echoing much of the sentiment around the league, FOX Sports AFC East Reporter Henry McKenna wrote about the Jets’ dwindling chances with Zach Wilson at quarterback, despite their Week 1 win.

“It was a Herculean effort from defense and special teams to get Wilson a win. It’s hard to imagine him winning many games in their upcoming stretch: @ Dallas in Week 2, vs. New England in Week 3, vs. Kansas City in Week 4, @ Denver in Week 5 and vs. the Eagles in Week 6. Then they get what will likely be a much-needed bye.”

The air was taken out of the MetLife Stadium as the MVP quarterback was carted off the field, and suddenly Zach Wilson was back in the spotlight.
