Weimar/Trier. Young people from the region took part in the international youth sports camp in the partner city of Trier.
A Weimar delegation of seven young athletes recently took part in the international youth sports camp in the partner city of Trier. About 50 young people from Pula, Budapest, Nagaoka as well as from Weimar and Trier spent a varied sporting and cultural week, the Weimar City Sports Association reports. In addition to sports such as basketball, table tennis, bowling and judo, sailing on the Moselle at the Postsportverein Trier was a highlight. The cultural program included a graffiti workshop, a day trip to neighboring Schengen and a city tour of Trier followed by a reception in the town hall by Mayor Wolfram Leibe (SPD). Under the motto “Experiencing sport and culture” together, the focus was on personal exchange at the camp.
