Giving again his best effort as he has been doing for several years, the judoka from Victoria Eduardo Sagástegui Becerra left Tamaulipas on high again by participating in the National Judo Championship held this weekend in Nuevo León, where he won four medals. of gold.

Said event held in San Nicolás de los Garza was called “Professor Manuel Larrañaga 2023”, bringing together a large number of athletes from different states of the Mexican Republic.

Regarding the participation of “Lalito”, as the young man from Victoria is also known, he won the four gold medals in different categories, which consolidates the hierarchy that has been earned based on his effort and discipline and that have also allowed him to reach world-class competitions.

The first medal that Eduardo Sagástegui achieved was on Saturday when he dominated the Kata modality from start to finish in the Under-23 category, along with his partner Miguel Fuentes Montealvo.

The second gold medal was awarded to them in the Under-18 Cadet category, by defeating rivals from Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Oaxaca in their matches and in the final, with a maximum score to the representative of Mexico City.

And to record his dominance in the “Professor Manuel Larrañaga 2023” tournament, Sagástegui Becerra applied the best techniques on the court to beat José Quinta from Tampico, and in the grand final he did the same against the host from Nuevo León, while that on Sunday he again beat Quinta from Tamaulipas to win the fourth gold medal in the National Judo Championship.
