The Secretary of Sports of the Government of Miranda, Franklin Cardilloannounce the victory of the state athlete, Brian Ruizwho won the first medal for Venezuela in the International University Sports Festivalheld at the Russian Federationin which students from 36 countries participate in different sports disciplines, according to a publication on the X social network account, @cardilloromero.
Likewise, Ruiz prevailed against the Russian champion Alexander Danilov from the Lobachevsky National State Research University in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, by beating him in a final duel that ended 3-2 and achieving victory for Venezuela.
On the other hand, at the International Festival of University Sports, the athlete from Miranda Kady Cabezo, won the bronze medal in the discipline of Judo, in the 57 kg category, against his opponent during the day.
It is important to highlight that the International Festival of University Sports that takes place as part of the 300 Anniversary of the founding of the city of Ekaterinburgowhich is characterized by being a new and unique event in the international sports calendar, which has brought together university teams from all over the world to represent their countries with honor and experience the atmosphere of student life, sports, friendship and cooperation.
