Bayern Munich will start the 2023-24 Bundesliga by facing Werder Bremen in week one. Die Roten coach, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Harry Kane would play from the first minute.
“As long as nothing happens today, (Kane) will start tomorrow’s game,” said Tuchel, quoted by The Athletic, Thursday (17/8/2023).
“His presence had a positive influence on us. He gave 100 per cent in every training session it was a pleasure to see him in action.”
“We did some finishing practice and he was able to show his quality during the session, it was really impressive,” said Tuchel.
Kane, who was bought for more than 100 million Euros from Tottenham Hotspur, actually made his debut when Bayern lost 0-3 in the DFL-Supercup against RB Leipzig last weekend, but at that time he came on as a substitute in the second half.
The 30-year-old striker is expected to become Bayern’s new goal machine to replace Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona last year, and be able to help them regain dominance in the German League and Champions League.
