Robin Gosens will probably play at 1. FC Union Berlin in the future. This would make the Bundesliga dream come true for the national soccer player.
According to media reports, 1. FC Union Berlin is facing the biggest transfer coup in its club history.
The Berliners agree with Inter Milan about the commitment of national player Robin Gosens, on Tuesday the 29-year-old is expected for a medical check in the capital, according to the TV channel Sky and “Kicker”.
15 million fee
The fee should therefore be 15 million euros plus bonus payments. According to “Kicker”, Gosens will sign a contract until June 2027, according to Sky until 2028. There was no official statement from Union or Inter until early Monday evening.
For Gosens, the Champions League participant would be the first Bundesliga station. In his career, the Rhinelander switched from Heracles Almelo in the Netherlands to Atalanta Bergamo in 2017. A boost in performance followed in Serie A, which led him to the national team and also to Inter. There he was only a supplementary player, as in the lost final of the Champions League against Manchester City (0:1).
Little star cult, lots of character
Gosens is considered an alternative to the adapted professionals of his generation. So he fits in well with Union. Such players like them there. Gosens does not cultivate a star cult – in contrast to Max Kruse, who was once also meaningfully integrated at Union. However, he would replace the eccentric striker as the most prominent Union player to date. Gosens is the first current German international that manager Oliver Ruhnert would sign for the Irons.
