According to witnesses, while Celia “N” was waiting for the train to arrive, in the company of her boyfriend identified as Luis “N”, an unknown individual who was looking at them insistently threw her from behind when the convoy was arriving at full speed. speed.

The 19-year-old girl fell towards the rail area and the subject jumped after her. For the driver of the convoy it was impossible to stop the march, due to the sudden manner in which the events occurred.

Luis, approximately 19 years old, could not do anything to prevent the death of his girlfriend. There he remained showing surprise and bewilderment at the gaze of those who were a few meters from him, who saw their way to the Taxqueña station tragically interrupted.

“According to the videos, in effect, it seems that a person arrives and just as the train is approaching, it throws the girl and then this person also throws himself into the Metro. Then we have two testimonies: one from a witness who affirms that this person came and pushed the woman and then threw himself, and it coincides with the testimony of the boyfriend,” Batres explained.

Moment left Metro users in crisis

A man of approximately 50 years of age and two women between 30 and 35 years of age, who witnessed the actions up close, had to be treated after presenting a nervous breakdown. The man named Carlos “N”, who suffers from diabetes, could not contain his tears. “I saw when he threw her and then he threw himself,” he said between sobs.

After the events that occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. this Wednesday, the power cut was carried out and elements of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI), of the CDMX, together with internal security of the Metro, deployed a security operation to vacate the premises. “Nobody can stay here,” the uniformed men mentioned.

Paramedics from the Rescue and Emergency Medical Squad (ERUM), as well as members of the Heroic Fire Department of the capital, went to the scene and entered through the entrance located on Avenida Hidalgo at the corner of Paseo de la Reforma, in order to rescue the bodies. .

The users wanted to find out what had happened and a woman looked in her bag for a medicine to calm down the man who witnessed the fact, but the paramedics did not allow her to give it to him, because it could be counterproductive due to his chronic illness.

Relatives of the victims arrived at the scene.

Luis’s father arrived at the site after hearing the news and immediately sought to contact him to accompany him to make his statement of facts before the corresponding Public Ministry. “I’m in shock,” was the only thing the man could initially say with a gesture of anguish.

The Metro service was suspended for approximately 40 minutes and some entrances were closed, while several crowds could be seen outside, without anyone knowing anything beyond the fact that a person had thrown himself onto the tracks.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the forensic and expert area of ​​the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office arrived at the scene and after gathering the necessary evidence to clarify the facts, they proceeded to remove both bodies.
