Tottenham’s Hotspur’s new coach, Ange Postecoglou, has sent a clear message to FC Bayern in poker about star striker Harry Kane. The Australian emphasized that his captain still fully identifies with Spurs and also teased about FCB’s alleged deadline that passed this weekend.
Postecoglou said after Tottenham’s 5-1 friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk, in which Kane scored four goals: “You could clearly see today that Harry is still investing in what we’re doing and that’s how it will continue if nothing changes .”
Then he said, looking at the alleged deadline to which Spurs are said not to have responded: We know that there is only one deadline: the end of the transfer window.
Postecoglou is also not very enthusiastic about Bayern’s public enthusiasm for his goalscorer: “I would certainly not talk about players who are under contract with other clubs. But I’m not at Bayern, so they can do as they want.”

Bayern have been campaigning intensively for Kane for weeks. The England international is also said to be eyeing a move and has already told his long-time club he doesn’t want to extend his contract, which expires in 2024.
