Tommy Paul Close to Cracking Top 10 in World Tennis Rankings

Now 13th in the world, Tommy Paul is undeniably close to the top 10. Before meeting Carlos Alcaraz during the round of 16, Tommy Paul mentioned this possibility in remarks reported by theATP.

“I think everyone pays more attention to it than me. It’s hard not to hear it. For example, when I arrived here, I saw Frances (Tiafoe, currently 10th, editor’s note), he was in the locker room and said to me: ‘Dude, if someone is going to take me out of the Top 10, I wanted let it be you. I was like, ‘Man, I wasn’t even thinking about that. Like when I played against Sinner in Toronto (in the semi-finals). I had to beat him and win another match to get into the Top 10. I don’t really think about it. »

As a reminder, the American has twice beaten Alcaraz in three confrontations, notably in the quarter-finals in Toronto last week (6-3, 4-6, 6-3). The time for revenge has already come.
