The best player in the history of American football (NFL) Tom Brady has entered the capital of English football club Birmingham, a resident of the English second division, the club and the former player announced Thursday on their social networks.
“Here we go! (Here we are !). I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Blues family. It’s a city and a club on the rise and I can’t wait to discover the atmosphere of St. Andrew’s (the stadium where the team plays, editor’s note),” wrote Tom Brady.
Birmingham finished 17th in the Championship last season, after another difficult season and a long struggle to maintain it.
“It’s been a long road for Birmingham, but these fans never stopped believing,” said the man with seven coronations during the Superbowl. “We have a song that says ‘no matter what, keep going’. I will be on this road with you”.
Birmingham enters the new season under new ownership, the American company Shelby Companies Limited (SCL), a subsidiary of Knighthead Capital Management, whose takeover ended sixteen years of Chinese ownership of the club.
