“Thank you very much, the award is really nice.” With these words, Tim Kleindienst expressed his joy at being voted “Player of the Season” in the 2nd Bundesliga. The 27-year-old top scorer of 1. FC Heidenheim was voted the outstanding man in the German lower house by Transfermarkt users in 2022/23. Kleindienst narrowly prevailed against the competition from Hamburg.

While 20.27 percent of the participating TM community voted for the clip from the newly promoted Bundesliga team, 19.44 percent opted for HSV midfielder Ludovit Reis, followed by his teammate Robert Glatzel (9.33 percent) and Daniel Heuer Fernandes (6 .33 percent). The top 5 voting is completed by Jackson Irvine from FC St. Pauli, who received 5.1 percent of the votes cast.
