Recently, various information about Sobolewski and his position in Wisła Kraków has been published on the network. There were negative voices about which “Weszlo” wrote that the coach “does not have a good opinion, after the defeat in the play-offs last season, there were voices that the team was poorly prepared tactically”.
However, in the Sunday clash with Arka Gdynia (5:1) Wisła gave a real show of their abilities and there were no problems with tactical preparation. She dominated the rival, Angel Rodado showed off a hat-trick, and Goku scored a goal directly from a free kick. The football of “White Star” was then attractive to the eye. Such a good game and an even better result could therefore save the coach’s position not only with the authorities of the Krakow team, but also in the locker room itself.
On Monday, a meeting of the supervisory board of Wisła was held, and one of the agenda items was a discussion on the future of Sobolewski at the stadium at ul. Reymont. According to the official matchyki.pl portal, it was decided not to dismiss the coach and give him credit. The main supporter of the decision was Jarosław Królewski, co-owner and president of the club. The players were supposed to react positively to Sobolewski’s stay, they began to believe in him more.
The decision of the board of Wisła therefore cuts off speculations about the possible employment of Daniel Myśliwiec, who is currently without a club. Until the end of last season, he worked for Stal Rzeszów. Some Ekstraklasa clubs are also to be interested in possible cooperation with Myśliwiec.
Radosław Sobolewski has been working in Wisła Kraków as the first coach since October 2022. He led the “White Star” in 31 games, in which he had an average of 1.74 points per game. He won 16 matches, drew six, and Wisła scored a total of 66 goals during his tenure. Sobolewski has a valid contract with the club from the capital of Lesser Poland until the end of this season.
