Jenni Hermoso — on the bus returning to the hotel after the World Final — laughs and jokes with her teammates looking at the images of the kiss given to her by the president of the Spanish Football Federation Rubiales. Then the companions joke singing in chorus «kiss, kiss».
The video was published by Alvise Pérez, voice of an “independent” news channel: it now becomes a further piece of an already controversial puzzle and can open up new scenarios, certainly for the defense of Rubiales, for which the presidents of the regional federations and territorial representatives of the RFEF have asked for his resignation and have decided to freeze his salary.
There are many questions and this video could be used as a counter-evidence for those who accuse the player. In the video Hermoso laughs and jokes looking at the images, but his behavior is not an indication that he had consented to the kiss nor that that gesture was well received. His reaction to his heat doesn’t make the stolen kiss clean or legitimate.
A story that has sparked controversy and criticism from many quarters, as well as becoming the news over the victory of the Spanish national team at the Women’s Soccer World Cup.
