The Spanish trial wins seven medals in the Glasgow World Cup

The Spanish trial team won six medals this Saturday at the World Cup in Glasgow (Scotland), including two golds from Alejandro Montalvo in elite 20″ and Daniel Cegarra in junior 26″, after winning the title on Saturday by equipment.

Montalvo was proclaimed world champion in this category for the first time after a close final with his teammate Borja Conejos in which both equaled on 250 points. A tie that was decided by the number of perfect zones that each one made.

Meanwhile, in the elite 26″, the victory went to the British Jack Carthy, tied on points with the German Oliver Widmann. The Spanish Martí Vayreda ranked third with 180 points.

In addition, the German Nina Reichenbach added her sixth continental scepter against Vera Barón and Alba Riera. The German achieved 210 points, while the Madrid and Catalan, 190 and 180, respectively, silver and bronze for Spain.

In the morning hours and under the rain, the junior Dani Cegarra became the new world champion in 26″ after having won silver last year in Abu Dhabi, 50 points above the second classified, the Frenchman Luka Pasturel.
