Recovered by Golden State for a pittance in the summer of 2018, DeMarcus Cousins did not meet the expected success there. It must be said that his rather singular profile did not really fit into the mold of the franchise, and this, upon his arrival.

At the time holding star status, DMC no doubt expected to enjoy a few privileges, including a light training schedule at Golden State. What may justify the contrasting passage that he signed there, and which finally ended at the end of a single season.
Accustomed to doing what he saw fit in terms of training and intensity in his sessions, DeMarcus Cousins quickly became disenchanted with the Warriors. Steph Curry would have quickly put him in the bath as he does with every recruit, regardless of his status!
