The Criminal Investigations Division arrested the mayor of Parcelles Assainies. Djamil Sané, also political leader of the Pastef party. It has been said that he is suspected of being the leader of the subversive acts perpetrated in his commune.

Indeed, L’Obs reveals the real reasons for his arrest. Sources close to the investigation confide that he participated in Juan Branco’s illegal visit to Senegal.
The same facts are also alleged against the mayor of Sangalkam, Alpha Bocar Khouma said Pape Sow. The latter is accused of having organized Branco’s accommodation in a famous hotel in Lac Rose. Moreover, it was on the night of August 3 that Mayor Pape Sow was arrested by a detachment from Gign and Bip for the purposes of his interrogation at the Dic.
