The Argentine team could not play equally against the world champions since they only managed to tackle and retreat before the onslaught of the rival, who with the dominance of the fixed and mobile formations rounded off a fair and clear victory.

At the start of the match, center Santiago Chocobares hit his head against Manie Libbok’s knee and due to the concussion protocol he was replaced by Matías Moroni.

After a favorable start to South Africa, Los Pumas scored their only try in the first attack thanks to Mendoza’s Bertranou, after quickly taking a penalty five yards from the South African ingoal

Without having many opportunities, only pure tackle and with order in defense, Los Pumas added through a new penalty converted by Boffelli to reach a favorable partial of 10-3.

At the start of the second half, South Africa took advantage of the lack of concentration on the part of the Argentines and with one less player managed to score two tries, the first achieved by Makazole Mapimpi in an attack from the left side.

Four minutes later came the second South African conquest at the start of a ruck. Libbok kicked in and Canan Moodie supported unopposed to go ahead 15-10.

The score was changed with penalties converted by Boffelli and Libbok to leave the partial 18-13.

In the last 20 minutes, Los Pumas left a feeling of lack of collective play since they were never in a game. The indiscipline, the disorder, the distractions cost him the tries of a lackluster farewell before the Argentine public.
