“He was a bon vivant, generous and brilliant. He had incredible talent. I often trained with him. He stepped on the gas and didn’t let up. And showed me that you have to go one step further in order to be successful. Nothing comes from nothing,” says Koubek during a home vacation in Klagenfurt. “Horsti formed the ‘three musketeers’ with Thomas Muster and Alex Antonitsch. I’ve always liked him. We even played against each other at the Grand Slam in Paris, I should have won. But with his experience, Horsti won the game.” When Skoff told his stories, he always made his colleagues laugh. “Unfortunately, he died far too early.”
