The Giants get Isaiah Simmons.

With the arrival of Jonathan Gannon (HC, Cardinals) en lieu and in place of Cliff Kingsbury, Isaiah Simmons (S, Cardinals) no doubt thought to give a new impetus to his career. It won’t be in Arizona, however.

Indeed, according to Adam Schefter, the Cardinals have decided to transfer the versatile 25-year-old defenseman to the New York Giants. Arizona recovers in exchange a seventh round of the draft 2024.

Drafted eighth in the 2020 draft from Clemson, Simmons has 258 tackles including 7.5 sacks and has caused seven fumbles and four interceptions in fifty games played with the Cardinals.

For the new coaching staff, the idea is clear: it’s time for reconstruction in Arizona, the team having almost already drawn a line under the 2023 season.

The Giants are getting a player capable of evolving as well as a linebacker and a safety position who will be keen to prove what he is capable of to his new team.
