The Fourth Stage of the 2023 World Cup Begins in Paris as a Test Event for the 2024 Olympics

The fourth and last stage of the 2023 World Cup, before the finals in Mexico (September 9 and 10) opened this Wednesday for the Olympic archers (recurve bow), with the qualifications then the first round of the individual draws at the Charléty stadium . The event will serve, this weekend for the finals at the Invalides, as a test-event for the 2024 Olympics.

Lisa Barbelin produced the best performance, 5th in qualifying and therefore exempted from the first individual round. The men’s team and the mixed team (Barbelin and Baptiste Addis), 6th after the qualifications (ranking according to the accumulation of individual performances), also reach the second round directly.

Five Blues individually

Four other Frenchmen continue their individual journey: Baptiste Addis, winner of the Hong Konger Yip Tin Long 6-0, will face the Brazilian Matheus Zwick Ely, Romain Fichet will meet the Chilean Andres Aguilar after defeating the Ivorian Franck Eyeni (6- 0), Jean-Charles Valladont will face Taiwanese Wei Chung-Heng after eliminating Belgian Théo Carbonetti. Before the rest of the individual competition, Friday afternoon in Charléty, the Blues will compete in teams on Thursday.
