The best of the world 3×3 will meet at the foot of the Pont du Gard for two major international events. Indeed, the site registered with the Unesco World Heritage will welcome a stage of the FIBA 3×3 Women’s series and a Challenger du FIBA 3×3 World tour.
Basketball champions at Pont du Gard
The opportunity for the public to see the evolution the French women’s team, reigning world champion and European champion, who will take part in this 21st stage of the Women’s series international women’s circuit.
Men’s side 3×3, Paris will defend the colors of France in the Challenger table. There first French professional team of the discipline will try to win the stage, synonymous with qualification for the Master of Amsterdam.
In the program, Thursday August 31from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., WS group stage (women); Friday, September 1from 10:20 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Challenger group phase (men) and WS final phase (women); Saturday September 2from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Challenger final phase (men).
Activities for three days at the Pont du Gard
Throughout these three days of basketball and entertainment at the foot of the Pont du Gard partner stands and food trucks will be set up. A 600-seat grandstand with giant screen, cheerleader shows, dance troupe, etc. are also planned. Between matches, a basketball entertainment area will be open to the general public.
