Terron Armstead causes scare in Miami after injury
OT Terron Armstead is one of the staples of the Miami Dolphins season. The health of QB Tua Tagovailoa rests on it, which, as we saw in this article, is the difference between being or not contenders for this organization.
Consequently, Armstead’s condition is worrisome after he was injured in joint practice with the Texans last Thursday. The reporters in the session indicated that it was something related to his right leg and that he could not stand on it.
Despite the fact that the worst was predicted, it seems that it was a huge scare for the coaches. Armstead told WR Tyreek Hill that it was well and told reporters:
“The receivers take the statistics, the glory, the Instagram followers and all that. But Terron is a big part of our team. I feel like he’s more important than me because the left side, we really need someone to hold that side. I think it’s not serious, I’m sure he will recover. As soon as it happened, I went up to him and said: ‘Are you okay?’ He told me, ‘Yes I am, I’m just old.’”
The 32-year-old veteran confirmed this through his social networks where he shared a message saying which will be ready for week 1 of the season.
How relevant has hearing this news been for you? Do you think Armstead can stay healthy for the rest of the year?

Joe Mixon found not guilty of aggravated threats charges
Last Thursday morning, Bengals RB Joe Mixon was found innocent of charges for aggravated threats against him. Subsequently, the organization gave the following statement public:
“Since joining the organization in 2017, Joe Mixon has been a valued part of the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe has been a top running back with multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons, and has been an even better teammate, enjoying real popularity among his teammates. For the past seven years, Joe has been active in the community, and his constant smile and energy have made him a favorite of thousands of fans.”
“The organization is glad this matter is behind us, and we look forward to an exciting season with Joe as an important part of the football team.”
Joe did his part so that Cincinnati would stay with him throughout this process by changing your contract structure.
However, Mixon continues to face a civil suit stemming from a shooting in front of his home earlier this year. Even so, he was not the shooter and he was not criminally charged.
Update: #Bengals RB Joe Mixon has been found *not* guilty of aggravated menacing.

Do you think Joe Mixon will finally be able to train with the Bengals without further interference?
Giants let the Bucs use their facilities after issues with the Jets
In a change of plans this week, the Buccaneers found themselves in the strange need to request that the Giants lend them their facility last Thursday. The reason is that they were in town for another joint session with the Jets, but these they preferred to cancel itleaving Tampa Bay without a precinct in a place foreign to them.
Thanks to the Mara family, owners of the other New York team, they were able to train without problems and without having to look for a school field, much less suitable for a professional team.
Luckily for them, the Giants had the time because they are getting more rest ahead of their game this Friday against Carolina.
“The Bucs have been in need of a place to work since their joint practice was apparently cancelled,” the organization said in a statement. “They asked us for our fields. Given our schedule, we said yes. It worked.”
Meanwhile, the Bucs will play the Jets this Saturday at MetLife Stadium.
The Buccaneers’ unexpected search for a practice field led to a rare assist from a fellow NFC team on Thursday as Tampa Bay looked to continue preparing for Saturday’s preseason game vs. the Jets https://t.co/rPcgm0YOc9

Aidan Hutchinson was thankful not to be drafted by the Jaguars last year
Many were surprised when in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Jaguars took Georgia’s DE Travon Walker first, ahead of top-rated DE Aidan Hutchinson, who was later taken by the Lions, at number two that year.
As someone close to the Detroit area, it was a pleasure to be a part of organizing there. Recently, assured that he is happy with how things turned out at that moment:
“I am happy here. Very grateful, very grateful. Everything has gone well. It was the divine moment. Things turned out as they had to turn out.”
The Jaguars’ HC Doug Pederson himself said that his team had a high regard for Hutchinson before finally settling on Walker:
“Obviously, he is a great player. We did our due diligence and really studied him and all the best edge rushers from last year. And, the way he came out and played, obviously, in our game and the way he, what, 9.5 sacks last year? A great performance for a young player, and obviously, the sky is the limit. He’s just going to keep getting better, and it really makes the defense a little bit more solid.”
Looking at last year’s result, it looks like Detroit has come out on top so far, so Hutchinson isn’t the only one happy about Jacksonville’s decision.
Do you think this decision will go down in history as a mistake by the Jaguars or not?

Jameson Williams out of preseason due to injury
The Lions are simply still without WR Jameson Williams more than they’d like, now he’s out of spring training with another medical issue.
In accordance with Adam Schefter, Williams is suffering from a hamstring injury. Add to that a six-game suspension for breaking NFL betting policy, so it’s safe to say he’ll be out for a few months, at least well into October.
This is becoming a habit for last year’s first-round pick, as he did not participate significantly either due to an anterior cruciate ligament recovery that had been occurring since before the 2022 NFL Draft. He has barely added six games in his professional career and it seems to be a similar amount this season.
Lions’ WR Jameson Williams has a hamstring injury that is likely to sideline him for the remainder of the preseason.

Meanwhile, Detroit will have to rely on its other receivers: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Marvin Jones Jr. and Josh Reynolds.
Do you think it’s a harbinger of another championship season for the Ravens or is it a minor stretch?
