Racing Genk was unable to qualify for the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League. The Belgian vice-champion played almost an entire game, including extra time, with one more man after an early red card for Servette, but could not shake off the Swiss. In the penalty shootout, the visitors then cut out the CL light for Genk.
