Swedes and South Africans managed to secure their ticket to the round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup by beating Argentina (2-0) and Italy (3-2) respectively. Sweden will face the United States, double title holders. The South Africans will, for their part, be opposed to the Dutch.

The Swedes beat the Argentines, and will face the Americans

Sweden, which validated its first place in Group G on Wednesday August 2 thanks to its victory against Argentina (2-0), in Hamilton (New Zealand), will face the United States, double title holders, in the round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup.

South Africa overthrow Italy, and will face the Netherlands

South Africa will play for the first time in its history the round of 16 of a Women’s World Cup after its victory (3-2) against Italy, quarter-finalists of the 2019 edition, Wednesday August 2 in Wellington , in New Zealand.

The South Africans, second in group D (with 4 points), will be opposed in the next round to the Dutch, first in group E (with 7 points).
