St. Pölten has lost its clean slate in the Admiral 2nd League. The Lower Austrians lost 1-0 to FC Liefering on Friday evening in the NV Arena and had to give up points for the first time in their third game of the season. Admira rose to become the new leader, having just about 1-0 the upper hand in the Lower Austria duel with SV Horn. Relegated SV Ried is still without a win after a 0:1 loss at newly promoted SV Stripfing.

Liefering’s right-back Benjamin Atiabou put the “Young Bulls” ahead in the 14th minute. The hosts became more dangerous as the second half progressed, but Bernd Gschweidl (78′) and Din Barlov (80′) had the best chances, but lacked the necessary efficiency. This allowed Salzburg to celebrate their first points in only their second game. The last game scheduled for Horn had been postponed due to heavy rain.
