Soudal Quick-Step and BORA-hansgrohe Announce Riders’ Switch to WorldTour in 2024

Soudal Quick-Step and BORA-hansgrohe have announced that some of their riders will make the switch to the WorldTour in 2024. In the Belgian team it concerns William Junior Lecerf, Gil Gelders and Warre Vangheluwe, in the German team Emil Herzog and Alexander Hajek are the lucky ones.

Patrick Lefevere, the manager of Soudal Quick-Step, explains the ‘transfers’: “Gil, William and Warre turned pro after a successful period with the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team and that speaks volumes about the excellent work that is done there. All three have delivered remarkable results this year and all have the potential to grow, so we can’t wait to see them in action next season.”

The results Lefevere talks about include a stage in the Giro Next Gen (van Gelders), victories in Gullegem Koerse and the Hel van Voerendaal (van Vangeheluwe) and a top-10 finish in the final classification of the Giro Next Gen ( of Lecerf).

Herzog, the 2022 junior world champion, makes the switch from Hagens Berman Axeon to BORA-hansgrohe. Herzog was born in 2004 and still only 18 years old. Hajek, on the other hand, is from the year 2003. The Austrian comes over from Tirol KTM.
