Slavia remains one hundred percent, beating Baník Ostrava 1:0. Viktoria Plzeň beat Olomouc 2:1 at home in the 5th round of the Fortuna:league, České Budějovice have the first points after their win over Bohemians, Zlín fell to last place, having lost in Hradec Králové.
The players of Slavia defeated Ostrava 1:0 in the 5th round of the first league. As the only team in the competition, the team from Prague remains at 100% and leads the table by two points ahead of defending champion Sparta. The match in front of 19 thousand spectators was decided in the 47th minute by Muhamed Tijani, the summer reinforcement of the red and white team from Baník. Vršovičtí presented themselves for the first time on the new lawn in Eden after the quick replacement of the playing surface.
In the league with Ostrava, Slavia scored for the thirteenth time in a row, and at home in the top competition they have not lost in 21 games. The people of Prague got into a winning mood for Thursday’s opening home match of the final 4th preliminary round of the European League with Luhansk. Slezáné also lost away from home for the third time in the season of the top competition, and they are 12th in the table.
Coach Slavia Trpišovský made eight changes in the starting line-up compared to Thursday’s away rematch of the 3rd preliminary round of the European League with Dnipro (1:1). Only goalkeeper Kolář, midfielder Zafeiris and all-rounder Schranz remained in the starting eleven. The Slezans vehemently complained about the alleged offensive foul, but referee Všeček, after consulting with the video referee Radina, awarded the goal to the Nigerian gunner. The summer signing from Baník from Prague scored the first competitive goal for the red and whites, in the last round, in the 1:0 victory of the Slavists in Mladá Boleslav, they finally marked the referee’s goal as their own.
The guests were almost harmless offensively, but in the 69th minute, the hosts themselves offered them a bad “little home” chance. Substitute Tanko went around Kolář from an angle, but in a difficult position he shot very inaccurately. Otherwise, it was mainly the people of Prague who continued to threaten. In the 75th minute, substitute Ševčík surprisingly curled a direct kick into the post from a wide angle, then Tijani narrowly missed with a shot from behind the goal.
In the end, the home team didn’t let the opponent do anything and confirmed that they still have the best defense in the competition with two conceded goals. The Slavists, on the other hand, could have increased the score, but substitute Jurečka shot wide in the sixth minute of regulation after a break and a pass from Chytil. Prague won 1:0 for the second time in a row in the league.
Pilsen turned against Olomouc
In the fifth round of the first league, the Pilsen footballers beat Olomouc 2:1 at home after a turnaround and replaced their opponents in third place in the table.
Juraj Chvátal put the guests in the lead in the 27th minute, but captain Lukáš Hejda and Pavel Bucha turned the score around in the first half after two passes from Cadu. Olomouc substitute Lukáš Vraštil was sent off in the 87th minute.
The West Bohemians won their third consecutive league and overall sixth competitive game. Sigma has not scored after a three-game winning streak and is fourth.

Hradec Králové football players beat Zlín 2:0 on their field. The home side took the lead in the first minute of the opening act by defender Adam Gabriel, who scored for the first time in the league season. In the 74th minute, another fullback, Daniel Horák, added insurance. After the victory of České Budějovice over Bohemians 1905 (3:0), Zlín fell to the last place in the table with only one point, “Votroci” are ninth.
The East Bohemians followed up their 5:1 victory against Český Budějovice and won the second match at the new stadium. “Shoemakers” did not win in the top competition for the sixth time in a row, they did not even beat today’s opponent in the same number of matches.
České Budějovice beat Bohemians 1905 3:0. The first two goals of South Bohemia came from corners, Qadri Adediran headed in the first half’s set time, Jan Suchan’s shot by Lukáš Havel at the beginning of the second half. In the end, Pavel Osmančík added the third goal.
České Budějovice scored points for the first time in the season of the top competition and left Zlín in last place. The “Kangaroos” have lost the second round in a row and the third of the last four and are tenth.
