Sergio Rico leaves the hospital 82 days after his accident

The Spanish goalkeeper and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) player, Sergio Rico, formally left the hospital after spending 82 days hospitalized after the accident he suffered on May 28.

Rico spoke to the press after leaving the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, where he expressed his joy at being fully recovered and focused on recovering his sports career.

“It has been a dream, thank God I have come out. I feel quite well, despite the aneurysm not being completely controlled, you have to have a few more months of tranquility, of calm, to continue recovering at home, thank God after so long,” he said, according to Marca.

“They say that the brain is intelligent and erases all these types of events. It has been a dream. I woke up in the hospital and thank God I’m out today. I feel very excited, very happy and giving thanks,” she added.

Rico also thanked his family for all the support they gave him during the two and a half months he was hospitalized, especially his wife who accompanied him every day.
