Serbia Wins Opener at European Women’s Volleyball Championship with Aleksandra Uzelac Leading the Team

With Aleksandra Uzelac, the Serbian team debuted with victory at the European Women’s Volleyball Championship, which takes place between August 15th and September 3rd, in four different venues: Belgium, Italy, Germany and Estonia.

This Friday (18/08), Serbia beat Ukraine by 3 sets to 0, partial 25/14, 25/19 and 25/16. Holder, the Fluminense winger was responsible for eight points, including an ace, and obtained 78% accuracy in attacks, in addition to 50% positivity in reception.

The team commanded by Giovanni Guidetti returns to the court on Sunday (20/08), when they face Slovenia, at 12h (Brasília time).

With Lelê as captain, the U-21 team debuts with victory at the World Cup

The European Volleyball Championship has 24 teams divided into four groups of six participants. In the first phase, the teams play within their own bracket and the four best placed teams advance to the round of 16. Serbia is in group A alongside Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary and Ukraine.
