PSSI Chairman Urges End to Polemic over Jakarta International Stadium Ahead of U-17 World Cup

tvOnenews.com – PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir asked for the polemic over the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to stop ahead of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

Previously, the stadium with a capacity of 82 thousand spectators became a polemic after it was said that it did not meet FIFA standards.

However, JIS Stadium has finally officially become one of the venues for holding the U-17 World Cup which will start in November 2023.

In fact, JIS has officially become the opening venue for the U-17 World Cup, but with several notes of improvement.

JIS Stadium was asked to replace the grass and add access in and out which was considered too little.

“Instead of us arguing, we’d better find a solution,” Erick Thohir told reporters on the sidelines of the Indonesian U-17 national team trial match against South Korea, Wednesday.
