Earlier this week, PSG formalized the long-awaited arrival of Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica, and the Portuguese international therefore becomes the new scorer for the capital club. He also admits that the presence of a good number of his compatriots played on his choice to land at PSG this summer.

The Portuguese striker has signed up in the form of a loan with a mandatory purchase option, set at €65m + €15m in bonuses, and he will therefore wear number 9 in the capital this season.

In an interview with official PSG media, Gonçalo Ramos explained that his Lusitanian compatriots had an impact on his choice to land at the Parc des Princes this summer: “I think their presence here played an important role. I saw how much they valued the club, it means they feel good here. And it is important for me at this stage of my career to have compatriots who can help me integrate. There are also the Brazilians, so inevitably, it will help me, ”says the new Parisian striker.
