Lieke Martens has been playing abroad for years. As a result, she had to make the necessary sacrifices, she says heroes.
“I’ve never had a problem with missing birthdays and parties, but now that I’m thirty, things are different. Girlfriends get married and have children. A good friend of mine became a mother, but I couldn’t have her baby until after six months,” said the attacker.
Martens is ‘continuously behind the times’, she says. “My friends are so important to me, I just want to be there at those moments, but I have to disappoint them. Weddings and births are memories for life,” Martens is emotional.
