Due to the injury of Kevin De Bruyne, national coach Domenico Tedesco will have to appoint a replacement for the playmaker. Franky Van der Elst tried to help him with that.
“De Bruyne’s injury is of course a huge loss… Not only for the midfield but for the entire team,” Van der Elst opens at The newspapaer. “The Manchester City medical staff must have misjudged that injury…”
“He had already not prepared as he should and now this. He will be the greatest loss”, he sighs again. “Fortunately, Amadou Onana will be there now.” But Onana is of course not suitable in terms of profile to replace KDB.
“I would put Leandro Trossard in De Bruyne’s place”, he indicates the most logical replacement. “And Hans Vanaken can also play there”, he surprisingly adds to the Club captain to conclude.
