Player Ratings: France vs Morocco – World Cup Qualifiers

Pauline Peyraud-Magnin: 6

She was never called upon in the first half. Hardly more in second, even if she had to work on an exit in front of Ibtissam Jraidi (49th). Impeccable on her aerial outings (53rd, 66th), the goalkeeper of Juventus Turin perfectly realized the little she had to do.

Eve Périsset : 6

A little waste in the passes, but she was able to hold her right side by remaining vigilant in her placement and authoritarian in her interventions. Périsset also applied to bring the surplus on his right side by combining with Kenza Dali, thus contributing to create spaces in the axis for the tricolor attackers.

In short: A no frills service.

Replaced by Estelle Cascarino (82nd).

Wendie Renard : 7,5

The Lyonnaise reigned over her defense as she is so often used to. Imperial in the duels on the ground (44th) as in the air (85th) and her cover work (83rd), she imposed her power on the Moroccan attackers. Les Bleues did not need his talent in the offensive header, but Renard still weighed in attack with an inspired pass for Kenza Dali who scored the second tricolor goal (20th).

In short: A boss in her hand.

Elisa De Almeida: 7

Brought to replace Maëlle Lakrar, injured, in the axis of the defense, the Parisian succeeded in her match by dominating her duels (22nd, 40th) and despite some waste in the long game. But she also made her offensive contribution with a ball-to-foot climb followed by a shift on the left side to initiate the action of the first French goal (15th) and was not far from delivering a decisive pass to Kadidiatou Diani (77th).

In short: Better than an alternative.

Sakina Karchaoui: 8

She shone with all her brilliance in a particular match for her, since her parents are Moroccans. Irreproachable in defense, she especially distinguished herself in attack with a perfect center for Diani on the first tricolor goal. Permanent danger on her left side by her incessant climbs and her devastating dribbling, the Parisian gave the Moroccan defenders a nightmare and signaled herself with a dangerous strike after having taken in the axis (68th).

In short: A real particle accelerator. Brilliant.

Replaced by Aïssatou Tounkara (90th+1)

And now Australia in hostile territory: ‘This is the litmus test’

Sandie Toletti : 7th

The Real Madrid midfielder did her usual job with remarkable efficiency. With many recovered balls, a placement always well felt to cut trajectories (32nd, 45th + 1) and clean transmissions in its role as first raiser. She could even have scored on a half-volley just wide at the entrance to the area (41st).

In short: As discreet as it is essential.

Replaced by Vickie Becho (64th), who made her individual quality speak with a dribble followed by a perfect cross on the fourth French goal from Le Sommer (70th).

Grace Geyoro : 6,5

A ceaseless activity in midfield, with an impressive ability to chain races which was particularly felt in the counter-pressing. Geyoro worked to allow the Bleues to dominate the midfield even if she was not always happy in the use of the ball. The Parisian was not often able to go on the attack either, despite a shot blocked in the area (50th). But the Habs did not necessarily need it in this match.

In short: Nothing to complain about, except that it is capable of doing even better.

Kenza Dali: 7.5

A first period of high flight. Impacting from the start of the match by her technical accuracy and her foresight in her game choices, Dali signed a high-class action on the second French goal, which she initiated with a subtle one-touch delivery for Diani before the conclude with a precise cross shot (20th). Less visible after the recovery, then placed back in the center after the entry of Vickie Becho, she however always brought great fluidity to the circulation of the ball.

In short: Class and efficiency, high art.

Selma Bacha: 7

The other big animator on the left side. She gets along wonderfully with Karchaoui, like the first French goal where the Lyonnaise offered perfect support to her left side. Dangerous on a shot off target (29th), Bacha offered many solutions in attack while doing remarkable defensive work, especially in the pressing.

In short: A full game.

Kadidiatou Diani : 8.5

She brilliantly confirmed her rise to power after her hat-trick against Jamaica with a dazzling new performance. Perfectly placed to open the scoring with a header (14th), then precise and inspired to find Dali on the second French goal, she was also involved in the third French goal with a winning pressing exploited by Eugénie Le Sommer. Not far from the double on a cross from De Almeida (77th), the neo-Lyonnaise also brought a considerable plus in the game without the ball.

In short: Radiant and decisive. What else?

Replaced by Viviane Asseyi (90th+1)

Eugenie Le Sommer: 8.5

She delighted from start to finish and in all areas. Already because she was precious in her stalls, the quality of her calls, her technical precision in the game of delivery and deviations (28th, 41st) or her permanent work in the pressing or the defensive withdrawal. Omnipresent, Le Sommer was there until the end with two goals full of opportunism (23rd, 70th) to complete his festival. An impressive volume of play also for the one who now totals 92 goals with the Blue.

In short: A recital to show in all football schools.

Replaced by Naomie Feller (82nd), who played her first minutes in the World Cup.

Call her Eugénie Le Winner… And now with Les Bleues?
