Formula 1 drivers Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo crashed almost simultaneously during second free practice at the Dutch Grand Prix on Friday. The Australian Piastri lost control with his McLaren in the corner and his car ended up hard in the boarding.
A few seconds later it went wrong for his compatriot Daniel Ricciardo in the same place. He also crashed into the guardrail with his AlphaTauri, shortly behind Piastri’s car. Practice was temporarily suspended so that the drivers’ damaged cars could be towed away.
The second free practice session will resume later. Dutchman Max Verstappen was fastest in the first practice earlier in the day.
