PGA Tour Glover victorious over the Wyndham Championship

On the night of Sunday to Monday, the fourth round of the Wyndham Championship was played, disrupted by bad weather. After a nice duel with Russell Henley, Lucas Glover won, between the storms of Greensboro, his fifth success on the PGA Tour.

Russell Henley still can’t do it on the Wyndham Championship. After having managed to interfere three times in a row in the top 10, in 2020, 2021 and 2022, the 34-year-old player finally thought of winning in North Carolina. Struggling with Lucas Glover at the top of the leaderboard throughout the day, the Macon, Georgia native collapsed late in the course, conceding three consecutive bogeys on holes 16, 17 and 18 (for four birdies made earlier) . He therefore finished in second place (-18 total), alongside Byeong Hun An.

For his part, Lucas Glover returned a solid card of 68 and took advantage of his opponent’s slowdown to keep the leader’s chair, acquired on Saturday evening, and go for victory (-20 total). After his bogey at 1, the 43-year-old bounced back with three birdies. The winner of the 2009 US Open won his fifth title on the American circuit (the first since July 2021) and at the same time his ticket for the FedExCup play-offs which begin next week.
