The Council of State has rejected Perugia Calcio’s appeal against the sentence of the Lazio Regional Administrative Court in the proceeding regarding Lecco’s admission to Serie B. ANSA learned this from legal sources. Perugia therefore remains in fact in Serie C, while Lecco is in Serie B.
In particular, the red and white club contested the granting, in its opinion illegitimate, of the license to take part in the Serie B championship by Lecco, as this had not demonstrated within the deadlines the availability of a stadium suitable for playing Serie B matches.
