According to Italian media reports, Inter will transfer 30 million euros plus a possible two million bonus for the 2018 world champion to Munich. Pavard’s contract with Bayern would have expired in the summer of 2024 after five years. Pavard joined Munich in 2019 for 35 million euros from VfB Stuttgart. The defender, who can defend inside and on the right, has won numerous titles with Bayern. Highlights were the Champions League triumph in 2020 and winning the Club World Cup in 2021.

Bayern is looking for a replacement for Pavard

By the end of the summer transfer period on Friday, Bayern want to sign a defensive replacement after Pavard’s departure. The 24-year-old Englishman Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea is under discussion. Coach Thomas Tuchel knows this from his time at the Premier League club. In addition, the “Bild” newspaper reported that Bayern want to get the 28-year-old Portuguese Joao Palhinha from Fulham for defensive midfield. As a result, the English are asking for far more than 50 million euros.
