The worldwide scandal over the reprehensible kiss of Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, to Jenni Hermoso at the consecration of the Spanish team in the Women’s World Cup does not cease. Day after day new videos appear with different fragments of the events of that August 20 and, now, New images of the players with Rubiales in the locker room and on the bus that took them out of the stadium went viral…
The first of them was the clipping of a live broadcast that Salma Paralluelo, a player from Spain, recorded after the consecration. There, she sees all the soccer players in the locker room as they celebrate winning the title. And Paralluelo focuses on Rubiales along with Jenni, who were also there.
“We’re going to a wedding,” Jenni says at the beginning of the video. Then, other soccer players and Rubiales himself begin to make jokes about a supposed wedding that both would have in Ibiza, and the rest of the soccer players chant “Ibiza, Ibiza, Ibiza…” between laughs. At last, someone is heard reaffirming the joke. “In Ibiza we will have the wedding of Jenni and Luis Rubiales”, comments one of those present, while the players celebrate again.
The second video is on the bus that took the soccer players back to the hotel, after the consecration. There, Jenni is seen laughing as she shows a picture of her cell phone to one of her classmates. “What is that, aunt?” asks one of the soccer players. “Íker (Casillas) and Sara (Carbonero)”, comment someone. At that moment, Jenni shows the image and a collage of the remembered kiss from Íker Casillas to his wife and journalist Sara Carbonero in 2010 is seen, together with the kiss that Rubiales gave her at the award ceremony.
“My goodness,” Jenni says. “Have you not seen her?”, she asks her classmates in relation to her photo. “Excited (Rubiales) and such, he comes and has taken me like that”, Jenni explains to her classmates about the kiss that Rubiales gave her. The players then chant “kiss, kiss” while laughing. One of them asks again: “But whose?” And one of the members answers “From Rubi (Rubiales) with Jenni, who have given themselves a peak”.
In the last fragment of the video Rubiales appears on the bus. The players chant him “caught, caught”, while the president asks them to stop. “Let’s see, stop, I’m ashamed”, Close the leader.
The hunger strike that Rubiales’ mother started
After Rubiales’s kiss without consent to Jenni, Ángeles Béjar, the president’s mother began this Monday a hunger strike inside a convent to demand that “the truth” be known and would go to the last consequences to defend it.
“I will be there until my body endures, I don’t mind dying for Justice because my son is a decent person”, he assured in dialogue with The summer program. Continuing with the same line, the woman remarked: “I want this girl (Jenni Hermoso) to tell the truth (…) it is not fair what they are doing.”
