After leading the Dominican Republic to a string of victories at the FIBA World Cup, Karl-Anthony Towns stopped by to share his thoughts on coach Nestor Garcia.
“I stand by what I said, he is one of the best coaches in the world,” the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar initially said. “A great manager is one who manages to bring out the best in his players every day, making them come to work with a smile, regardless of the situation and pressure,” he added, referring to the 58-year-old.
“Not only is he a great basketball coach, but he’s a great coach in life,” Towns concluded, noting that Garcia is a leader both on and off the court. “I smile just talking about it!”, he finally stated.
