Municipal Council Discusses School Catering, Outdoor Activities, and Security Plans

The municipal council met Monday, August 21 in the council room under the chairmanship of the mayor, Geneviève Blanc, to deliberate on the following points.

Pricing of the school catering service: Henri Lacroix, education assistant, recalled that the State provided support by paying financial aid of €3 per meal served at a maximum rate of €1. Due to the change of service provider, it was agreed to set the new rates. Depending on the family quotient, these vary from €1, €2.50, €3.30 to €3.60 for regular registration (attendance every week on the same days). For an occasional registration, the price is 4 €.

Spaces sites and routes linked to outdoor activities: Nelly Marion presented the municipality’s commitment with regard to registration in the PDIPR (Departmental Plan for Walking and Hiking Routes) which makes it possible to protect rural paths and promote the discovery of natural sites and rural landscapes by developing the practice of all types of hiking (horse riding, hiking, mountain biking). This commitment also concerns the planned creation of a path from the sinkholes to the lavogne on the Peyremale massif.

Creation of a brigade of intermunicipal country guards

The will of the elected officials is to implement a security and prevention policy throughout the territory of the member municipalities of Alès Agglomeration. In order to meet the needs expressed by the mayors, the community council of Alès Agglomeration approved the principle of creating a brigade of country guards with a view to making them available to the member municipalities. The mayor is authorized to sign all acts and documents allowing its implementation.

Creation of permanent jobs: André Merel, municipal councilor, proposed to the councilors to create from August 22, 2023 two permanent jobs for the maintenance of public spaces and technical interventions on municipal buildings, a job of animation at the reception and in municipal schools and a job to ensure the general management of services.

Grants to associations: APE €1,800, Un chat pour la vie €300, Anduze Badminton club €300, Archers Anduziens €1,000.
