If motorsport is selected by the IOC for the 2028 Olympics, electric karting would be the discipline that will make its appearance in Los Angeles. Electric karting was first included in the Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2018, before being renewed in 2020.
Motorsport – and more generally motorsport – has never been included in the Olympic Games as an official discipline. Nevertheless, demonstrations took place during the 1900 Olympics in Paris and then at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
