MLB Announces Postseason Schedule for 2023

With just under two months to go before the regular season ends, Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced its schedule for the postseason that is scheduled to start on Tuesday, October 3 with the Wild Card Series and the World Series scheduled to start on October 27.

For his part, the Division Series of the American and National Leagues, is scheduled to start on October 7these will be a maximum of five games and in case of reaching the fifth match, the one of the new circuit will be played on October 13, while the one of the Old Circuit will take place on the 14th of said month.

The start of the American League Championship Series (SCLA), will take place on Sunday, October 15 while that of the National (SCLN) will begin on Monday the 16th. Both series will be the best of seven commitments.

The hypothetical Game 7 of the ALCS will take place on Monday, October 23, while Game 7 of the NLCS would be played on Tuesday, October 24.

Game 1 of the 2023 World Series is scheduled for Friday, October 27. The 119th edition of the Fall Classic will change venues for Game 3 on Monday, October 30. If a Game 7 is necessary, it will be played on Saturday, November 4.

The scheduled rest days during the World Series are Sunday, October 29, and Thursday, November 2 (if a Game 6 is necessary).

The current ranking of the American League has the Baltimore Orioles as leaders of the East Division, Minnesota Twins as leaders of the Central and the Texas Rangers dominating the West. Meanwhile, the wild card spots are held by the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, and Toronto Blue Jays.

For his part, in the National the Atlanta Braves are leaders of the East, Milwaukee Brewers do the same in the Center and Los Angeles Dodgers are owners of the West. The wild cards currently belong to the San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds.
