Mireia Lapuerta Triumphs at the Zagreb Grand Prix: Catalan Judoka Wins Gold in -48 kg Category

The Catalan judoka has been proclaimed champion after beating the Serbian Milica Nikolic in the final of the -48 kg category

The judoka representing the Valencian Judo Federation Mireia Lapuerta has been proclaimed champion of the Zagreb Grand Prix after prevailing in the final of the -48 kg category against the Serbian Milica Nikolic.

The door she was proclaimed champion on the Croatian tatami beating the Serbian Andrea Stojadinov in the semifinals and Abiba Abuzhakynova, from Kazakhstan. Previously, in the preliminary rounds, she beat the Brazilian Natasha Ferreira and the French Marine Gilly.

The Catalan judoka thus wins her first international gold medal in 2023which is added to the two bronze medals harvested in the Grand Slam.
