Mike Scott Joins ASVEL Villeurbanne in France for 2023-24 Season After Puerto Rico Stint

After a brief stint in Puerto Rico, where he won the league and was MVP of the final, Mike Scott will now begin a second adventure on European soil –exactly in France– by joining ASVEL Villeurbanne for the 2023-24 season; reports Alberto de Roa from HoopsHype.

At 35 years old, the one who was number 43 in the 2012 draft will live a second stage on French soil, since in December 2022 he signed with SLUC Nancy. Now, perhaps driven by that experience in which he played 27 games averaging 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds, he has the opportunity to join a Euroleague team.

Although the NBA seemed to say goodbye for a long time –exactly in 2021 when he had his last appearance with the Philadelphia 76ers–, Scott has left a legacy in the American competition that is measured by 555 games in the regular season and another 57 in the playoffs. In addition, he was part of the best Atlanta Hawks in history, those who achieved a 60-22 balance in the 2014-15 season.
