The Dallas Mavericks have decided to cut Javale McGee and re-sign Markieff Morris, reports Shams Charania.
The Texan team will use the Stretch Provision to distribute the over 11 million in two years provided by the big man’s contract over 5 seasons.
Morris arrived in Dallas last season, in the trade that also brought Kyrie Irving to the Mavs.
The Dallas Mavericks are planning to stretch-and-waive center JaVale McGee and re-sign F/C Markieff Morris on a deal, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Mavs must execute stretch-and-waive by next week.
